I am not sure, what is the point of a fast internet service if the connection keeps
dropping. It isn't until you have an un-reliable provider that you
realise this!

“FAST internet access is of little use to me. Give me a RELIABLE one instead!”
Actually, with reliability comes speed and quality, so I would like to believe that it is not logical to say that fast Internet access has little use to you.

I know not everyone is a fan of them, but I've had a great experience with Qwest. They aren't too expensive and the internet has worked great. It's fast and reliable.

The picture was funny at first. But it will make you think: Is this the 100% that I am talking about? Or am I giving 100% everyday? Great for inspiration.

Well, no ISP is perfect. But if you are looking for more reliable connections, i'd recommend you go for the wired ones (DSL, cable). They have less lags and downtimes than other internet connections.
Maybe the solution for Indonesia and many other SE asian countries is WIMAX? It's cheaper than actual cable or physical lines and its also more powerful than HSDPA

Internet connection is one of the common problem that almost all internet users including me, are encountering. Wow its hard to choose between fast or reliable. Oh well I'll go for both because they are should be a package. As a consumer if you are wise enough then choose the interenet provider that has both fast and reliable internet connection. Oh my...that means that I am not wise enough.....LOL

Well, slow internet connection is the most common problem of all internet user include me. In this case, the only thing I know is to change your local internet connection company for you to be satisfied in other company's fast and reliable services like what I actually did. No regrets! :-)

Which company do you use, by the way? Is there anyone who provides service in your local area that's recommended but not too expensive? Some places around here don't have many options.
Once you get above a certain threshold of speed, you're not really going to run into any problems unless you're constantly trying to download huge files while surfing the web at the same time. Reliability is often much more important than overall speed. I would definitely rather have a connection that always works, than one which works very fast only sometimes.

I also can to say that my internet connection is in the same condition even from time to time there is no access. And I have to admit that I agree with you.

I couldn't agree more with you, what is the point of a fast internet service if the connection keeps dropping. It isn't until you have an un-reliable provider that you realise this! Keep up the good work
Actually, i have the same question before but now i found the answer. My internet connection now is fast and reliable. Aside from that, i only pay cheap amount.
I would love a fast internet connection, the faster the better. But of course it has to be reliable too. I've had to change providers twice already. Those were really frustrating times. Thanks for sharing!
I agree I need speed but I want something that is not unreliable such as Comcast. Here in Chicago I have been using RCN 10Mbps and its gone out for 10 minutes that past year. I'd say that is reliable.

General on the Internet for me is the speed and of course price. I do not
like a long time to download anything so I try to find something that
really suits me.

amen to that! but thats not really how it works though. i think a lot of people want it all and thats just not how things are set up, but you really don't want a guaranteed 56kbps. my bad, that's taking it a little too far. good post, i hope the providers take up your issue and make it happen.
my internet connection is very fast, i don't have any problem form it.
Man sollte auf jeden Fall vorher seine HSDPA Verfügbarkeit
checken, bevor man sich für einen Anbieter enscheidet.
FAST internet access is of little use to me. Give me a RELIABLE one instead!
I agree. What will you do with one that has fast connections when server goes down all the time?
Reliable? What do you mean by reliable? Me, I would prefer the fast one.
I am not sure, what is the point of a fast internet service if the connection keeps

Internet access is more important than speed. Speed would be useless if service is discontinuous.
fast and reliable internet...that just seems a little hard to believe

I’d prefer both fast and reliable. Unfortunately, the reliability and speed of Internet access is sometimes beyond the control of ISPs too.
internet!!!! why do we bother paying for it

You want reliable Internet? But isn't it best if you could have one fast and reliable?
I definitely agree with you. It sucks when internet is down. it's ture that sometimes I prefer a slow than dead one.

Yes, I agree that the reliability of Internet access is more important than speed. Speed would be useless if service is discontinuous.

Well, that’s an issue with infrastructure of the ISP and telco. Nothing much you can do about that, can you? WIMAX does sound promising, though.
Mmm... I admit I have not thought of the other necessary characteristics of an Internet connection. I just prefer it fast.
These days, Internet security is a top requirement. You wouldn't want your computer to suddenly crash, or have some hackers playing tricks on you.
“Give me a RELIABLE one instead!”
It all depends on the provider. I think my provider is reliable enough but during bad weather conditions you can expect connections to lag a bit.
"FAST internet access is of little use to me. Give me a RELIABLE one instead!"
It would be great if you can have both fast and reliabe connection. Changed your local Internet connection company!

Tates differ! I prefer fast internet connection even if it is not really reliable. Slow connection requires too much time for pages to be downloaded.

Here in the philippines,
Only Manila got the fastest connection but in other provinces, man, downloading files are really painful.
Wonderful post. The ISPs should provide bettere servises or thay will go away in the dust. ;)
nice post, i can't wait for the "grid" to come out then we'll all have enough bandwidth to send entire hard drives in minutes.
My internet conection is in the same condition, but form time to time I don't have access, which is not my mistake, but a mistake of my ISP.
Actually, i have the same question before but now i found the answer. My internet connection now is fast and reliable.
